About Me

I started Greene County Schools in 1st grade and graduated from our very own Chuckey-Doak High School. I attended East Tennessee State University for my undergraduate work where I fell in love with mathematics, and received a B.S. of Mathematics. After graduation, I moved out for the very first time to pursue my teaching career in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. I took an interim position at John McEachern High School and fell in love with teaching. While in Georgia, I attended Kennesaw State University and obtained a Masters of Education degree in Adolescent Mathematics Education. I returned to Tennessee to be closer to my family in 2009 and took my current position at Chuckey- Doak. I will be starting my 15th year of teaching.
I am married and have two boys, Colt and Leiland, who are my absolute world. We enjoy playing outside on 4- wheelers, tractors, in the creek, hiking, etc. During the summer and fall months, we are usually at the beach and out on the lake enjoying the fresh air and tubing in the water. Spending time with my family is extremely important to me as well as making lasting memories.
