I grew up in Reno, Nevada and attended Westergard Elementary School (Go Wildcats!), Billinghurst Middle School (Go Bighorns!), and McQueen High School (Go Lancers!).  During my time in school I always enjoyed history, math, and science classes.  I spent two years at the University of Nevada, Reno studying accounting and would eventually move to Chuckey to be closer to my family.  As it turned out, accounting was not for me.  I changed my major and received a degree to become a teacher from East Tennessee State University.

My hobbies growing up were playing soccer, baseball, basketball, video games, paintball, skiing, and snowboarding.  I was fortunate enough to play soccer throughout my four years of high school.  I also played on a travel soccer team for around 10 years.  Now I help Coach Anna Ricker with the boys and girls soccer programs here at CDHS and am very grateful to be able to stay involved with the sport.
