I was born in Michigan and moved to Tennesse when I was 5 years old. I started Greene County Schools in 1st grade and graduated from Chuckey-Doak as a Valedictorian in 2000. I attended East Tennessee State University for my undergraduate work where I fell in love with mathematics. Upon graduating in December of 2004, I moved out for the very first time to pursue my teaching career in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. I took an interim position in January 2005 at John McEachern High School and fell in love with teaching. The students, faculty, and school became my life and I enjoyed EVERY MINUTE of being a part of that family. At McEachern, I was the senior and sophomore class sponsor and also the sponsor of the inaugural "Dance Crew". While in Georgia, I attended Kennesaw State University and obtained a Masters of Edication degree in December 2008. I returned to Tennessee to be closer to my family in 2009 and took my current position at Chuckey-Doak and have found a new "family". I was also the Cheerleading coach for 4 years.

I have been married to my husband, Rusty, since 2011. I have two GORGEOUS (yes I am biased) boys, Colt and Leiland. who are my absolute world. We enjoy playing outside on 4 wheelers, tractors, in the creek, hiking, etc. During the summer and fall months we are usually out on the lake enjoying the fresh air and tubing in the water. Spending time with my family is extremely important to me as well as making lasting memories.
