Green Race

I grew up in Carter County, TN. I graduated from Happy Valley High School in 2002, earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology Management from Berea College in 2006, and earned a Master of the Arts in Teaching degree from ETSU in 2010. I have also earned my CSWA (SolidWorks) and CIW Web Foundations Associate Certificates.

I am an avid designer/builder of many things. More specifically, I like photo editing, web design, game design, and wooden craft/furniture construction. Most of the things I design and build are for my own benefit, although I have completed many projects for others as well. I have designed and built several boats and musical instruments. I have also completed countless residential renovation projects, during which my design background was of great benefit.

After my undergraduate work at Berea, I was employed as a sub-contractor in upstate NY for several years before returning to TN for graduate school. While in graduate school at ETSU, I held a graduate assistantship as a web designer in the MALS (Masters of the Arts in Liberal Studies) Department. During the same period, I was also an adjunct professor with cross-disciplinary studies and a studio producer for a local radio station.

When the work is done, you will most likely find me outside. I enjoy whitewater kayaking, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, fly fishing, and just about everything else that gets me out of the house.
