Hello CDHS Family,
I am excited to be joining this adventure with you all! My name is Sharon Necessary, and I live in Northeastern Tennessee with my wonderful husband Jake, daughters Sarah and Katie, and four dogs. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from East Tennessee State University in Family and Consumer Sciences Education in 1998. In 2001, I finished a Master of Arts degree in K-12 Education from Tusculum College. Additionally, I earned a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration in 2009 from Jones International University.
I have been an educator for 18 years focusing on teaching young adult’s life skills and Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum. Working with High School students is such a blessing! I have been able to facilitate the startup of two culinary programs and the launch of a new High School. I have to say that adventure was a once in a lifetime and wonderful opportunity. I recently transitioned from my role as a Career and Technical Education Consultant for the Tennessee Department of Education back into the classroom and most recently I accepted the position as Associate Principal at Chuckey-Doak High School. I have truly missed the excitement of the school/classroom environment and feel blessed to be given this opportunity. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, crafts and spending time with family.
To sum me up, I am a child of God, dedicated mom and wife, a teacher of life skills and family values, and a full time graduate student. I am strong willed, independent, caring, dedicated and loyal. I am me, wonderfully created by God, the only me. I look forward to working with your student as we learn and grow together.
