About Me

Thank you for visiting my faculty page! It is my pleasure to be a part of Chuckey-Doak High School, and I feel blessed to work with our students in my various roles as a testing coordinator, the librarian, and as an English teacher.
I am native of Greene County and a generational teacher. I attended Camp Creek Elementary School, where my mother taught the majority of her career, and am a graduate of Greeneville High School. After high school, I attended East Tennessee State University where I majored in English and minored in criminal justice and criminology. Once I finished my Bachelor of Arts degree, I decided to attend graduate school to earn my Masters of Arts in Teaching for grades 7-12 with an emphasis in English. In 2006, I was hired to work at the most amazing school--CDHS. Since being hired at CDHS, I have received my Education Specialist degree with an emphasis in administration and an additional add-on to my MAT in library science.
In my personal life, I am a mother to a wonderful little girl--Harper. Named for the writer Harper Lee, my daughter shares with me and her namesake the joy of a good book. In addition to this, she and I both love animals; we have two dogs, two cats, two turtles, and a few fish.

I use both of these to post announcements related to the library, coffee shop, and testing.
